I saw the movie on sunday night with Lolita .. and totally fell in love with the story. I had been resistant from the beginning because I'm not a fan of sci-fi / unreal stories .. and did not even see Twilight (i know, i know .. shame on me!) or read the books.

Rest assured, I am now totally on board and might even consider picking up a copy of the third book.. just. for. the. love. triangle. story!

I've often been told I look like certain celebrities. Some names have even come up more than once. I take that as the highest compliments .. and well, I got two very high compliments this week so I thought I'd show you my twins (wait, what?!).

Picture for example, if Geri Halliwell, Katherine Heigl, Nicole Kidman and Michelle Trachtenberg had a morph baby (yesss, click it, hours of fun guaranteed).. it would be moi !

And this morning, I get a text message from my girl friend Violet saying "Ohmygod ! Google Michelle Trachtenberg, U guys R twins !!!!".

Needless to say, I had a good week, lol.

I had been last spring with my mom and a friend of hers who got one of those special invites .. and it was amazing. This fall, my mom's friend was kind enough to give me one of her free invitations and I invited Lolita to come along.. so we went on saturday afternoon !

Today's feature : This picture was taken at the end of March 2009 when I was visiting Lolita (which could explain why I'm holding two Starbucks..) in Ottawa for the weekend, back when she lived there to study for a year. Of course, when I look at it now I think we should've take a proper picture of the Totem pole from the front  (and not the side!).. but anywowzer. It's me. It's Ottawa. It's traveling. Right ?

Uhmm, yeah, so I didn't have the wire to connect my camera to a computer this weekend but now that I'm back ..

Needless to say .. I am now officially on a "strict" diet (I can never totally give up the sweets) of salads / veggies and meat / fish. I am cutting back on pastas and breads.. this shipmate cutie costume is .. TINY.

That's right bloggies, the travel bug has bit me again ! Of course, since I don't have any real time off from work until christmas .. I will enjoy a little get-away on the long weekend. This weekend is thanksgiving around my parts of the world so : Mom, her friend and I are going on a shopping trip !

This is absolutely the best time to enjoy good wine, good food, the folliage (awww.. Fall, i love you) and the clearance prices! We'll be heading down to Burlington, VT on Saturday morning.. spending the night and then to North Conway, NH on Sunday morning for another night. I am as excited as can be !

Mom, dad and I used to go to these parts of the states at couple times a year (usually around Thanksgiving) to enjoy some good food and shop stores that we don't have around here at home. Of course, with my parents' split it'll be different this year but I am guessing it'll only be better because.. last year was an absolute nightmare (Lolita was there, she could attest to that..) with my dad complaining and arguing with my mom the whole entire time !

Anywowzer, this year it'll be drama free.. except for my kick-ass personality of course.

I am ready to shop and fall is the perfect excuse, right ? I have (finally?!) discovered polyvore people !!! Watch out !

I am not a fashion expert at all but to me, this feels sexy !  The leather is powerful .. the colored suede gives a little punch .. and the top with jewelry is fragile and feminine.

Goddess of .. Brand Spankin' New Blog !

I've been absent and distant, yes. The truth is, there's someone something else. I'm seeing writing another blog. Remember when I mentionned my whole Julie/Julia Project idea .. and the volunteer blog.. well, I did it ! The blog is up and running .. it's not perfect yet (a work in progress, right?) but I'm very happy to get it going.

I do not want the two blogs to be connected, as this one is ANONYMOUS and I don't want my family, friends and love interests to be reading it.

• I just saw Julie and Julia. Totally loved it, of course, as most bloggers / foodies did and I feel very inspired at the moment. I must get up and do things. I must start a countdown of something exciting on my blog.

• There is the Martha Stewart's baking handbook that Lolita gave me on christmas 2 years ago .. and I haven't tackled more than 3 recipes in there. Maybe I could try that. Perhaps Martha is the Julia to my Julie, the butter to my bread, the breath to my life.

She has many pieces involving the Eiffel Tower, and well, if you'd met me IRL.. you'd know I am a hardcore Tour Eiffel lover ! In fact, I love it so much, I could've been the woman who married the Eiffel Tower (yeah, check that out, it's worth it!!!).

And, I appreciate art, like no other. I paint and sculpt .. although "being a lawyer and all" takes up most of my free time, lol.

Goddess of .. Jogging makes me want to kill myself !

Ahem. Yes, it's true.. jogging makes me suicidal.

*Okay, okay, that may be a teeny tiny wee-bit of exageration but you get the point : I HATE JOGGING (and I'm pretty sure Jogging hates me)...*

I went jogging with Lolita last night .. and it just confirmed how badly out-of-shape I am.
I stopped going to the gym around the time my parents separated and I started my internship (so around Christmas '08-January '09).

That was the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE !!! I'm telling you, if you're on a good work-out schedule .. DO NOT EVER stop. If you do eff up like me and stop, you're an idiot. Simply because when you do muster up the courage to start again, it's going to hurt, I mean like really H-U-R-T .. like death on a stick !!!!

You know I cultivate the impossible (for now) dream of running a marathon or half-marathon and you may also know that, even back in May, I couldn't run without getting the feeling that I was getting choked to death.

Anyhow, my lack of motivation is obvious and all I could think, the whole time I was running, was how much I hate running. Lolita reminded me I needed to push myself more and that I need to do it a few more times before I start to feel better about it. And well, I agree, I've been there before.

So, I tried to think happy thoughts ... *cricket sounds* ... nothing.

I tried switching the song on my iPod everytime I thought of something negative .. which worked a couple times .. but only ended in a furry of button-pressing madness until finally, I just couldn't switch the songs fast enough anymore. I had had enough.

I can't say that I felt better afterwards and I am sore this morning, but I'm not giving up on physical activity. I still love to ride my bicycle, I love kayaking, I love yoga (not HOT yoga though.. remember here and here) and more.

Lolita and I went cycling last weekend and have more plans to go bike by the water this weekend, I am looking forward to getting a tan (ahem. it's an illusion, my pale skin can't tan) and a workout ! Yay, I'm really excited !

P.S. That's my old hand-me-down bike on the right ! I need to get it checked .. I noticed last sunday that I have a flat tire (possibly both, actually). Until then, I'll use Lolita's instead because she prefers rollerblading anyway.
